Frequently Asked Questions
What services do you offer?
I provide hands-on newborn care, breastfeeding support, emotional reassurance, and practical household help. This may include light meal preparation for parents, some laundry, assistance with managing visitor flow and sleep. I usually come into a home for 4-6 hours a day (or evening) during my contracted time. I can do that once, twice or up to 4 times a week.

What is a postpartum doula?
Let's talk -- I base this on what a family can afford.
A postpartum Doula is "a trained professional who provides continuous physical, emotional and informational support to their client before, during and shortly after childbirth to help them achieve the healthiest, most satisfying experience possible....
Countless scientific trials examining doula care demonstrate remarkably improved physical and psychological outcomes for both pregnant, birthing, and postpartum people and their baby. Doulas have a positive impact on the well-being of the entire family." -- Dona International
I work in a family's home shortly after birth and up to the first 12 weeks of baby's life. I prefer having a pre-birth consultation to discuss the family's goals and needs. I serve the Minneapolis-St. Paul area including close-in suburbs.
